Find your Favorite Cigar in 5 Easy Steps
Posted on: 06/09/2010 12:39 AM
I am new to the world of cigars and have been trying to get a basic handle on what one needs to know to pick out a cigar that best suits my tastes. I have written a short piece on what I found.

If you are a newbie to cigars this may save you some time, as well as wasted capital on cigars that are unpleasant. If you have been around the block a few times then any feedback on the piece would be great!

Cigars are a very personal item...people have different tastes and when starting out it's probably the smart thing to go with a mild cigar until your tastes mature. Reading and talking with those who have been around will give you more insight but it is going to be your tastes that will convince you. Trying out singles and 5 paks is the smart road to take...don't buy boxes until you know you really like what you are smoking. Give your cigars enough time to rest so they aren't giving off that ammonia taste some cigars will have when they are "new" and have not been rested long enough.
